After “Fancy That” PinkPantheress releases her third mixtape and innovates in alt-pop.

Victoria Beverley Walker, better known as PinkPantheress, was born in England and began her career during her university years in London in 2021. She became popular during the pandemic through TikTok, with "Break It Off" and "Boy's a Liar" and the following year, she received the BBC's Sound of 2022 award, gaining prominence within the UK.

The singer broke the bubble with her debut studio album, "Heaven Knows" (2023), and won over the North American audience with "Boy's a Liar Pt. 2" with rapper Ice Spice. Since then, PinkPantheress has been shining in alt-pop and hyperpop.

In May 2025, PinkPantheress released her second mixtape, "Fancy That" featuring hits like "Illegal" and "Tonight" despite keeping her songs short —as throughout her discography—the singer delivers vocals, frenetic rhythms, and infectious beats.

And while maintaining the energy and style of a 2000s pop diva, PinkPantheress took a risk with the mixtape "Fancy Some More?", a sequel to "Fancy That" featuring 23 collaborators and over 30 songs, including 22 remixes and the nine originals. Except for "Intermission" every song on the original receives at least one remix, and even though they're the same songs, the singer managed to create a new experience and new sensations with each version.

The album features many electronic remixes, but it deviated from expectations by bringing in a large number of singers and DJs, including Brazilians Anitta, DJ Caio Prince, Adame DJ, and Mochakk. It also features K-pop voices like Yves and SEVENTEEN, new pop like Rachel Chinouriri and Zara Larsson, and 2000s pop like Kylie Minogue and the Sugababes.

"Hearing other artists reimagine them has been incredibly inspiring. Each remix brings a new energy and texture while keeping the essence of the track intact. It's been incredibly exciting to see 'Fancy That' take on these new international lives and global perspectives."

Illegal

By far the most notable remix of "Illegal" is by Nia Archives, who transformed the song with jungle (a house rhythm that blends Jamaican and British influences), creating another version of the hit. Anitta sang in Spanish for her feat, which ended up disappointing. The version with SEVENTEEN, while well-constructed and with good vocals, doesn't stand out.

Stateside

The versions of "Stateside" blend generations and styles. The remix with Zara Larsson is the strongest: the Swedish singer brings pop energy and a striking voice, giving the track the feel of a radio hit. Kylie Minogue adds her retro charm and maintains the 2000s vibe, while Bladee delivers a smooth vocal that contrasts well with the poppier tone of the other versions.

Stars

Representing Brazil, DJ Caio Prince and Adame DJ collaborated on a new version of "Stars" with plenty of funk beats. The remix gives the track a faster-paced feel, contrasting with Yves's version, which brings a delicate and ethereal touch to the track, featuring soft synths and almost whispered vocals.

Rachel Chinouriri maintains the dream pop vibe of the original version of "Romeu" but adds a more organic texture and a pop feel. Oklou transforms the track "Girl Like Me" into a minimalist and atmospheric space. The remix builds slowly, with subtle beats and delicate production, reminiscent of FKA twigs's style.

With a Y2K aesthetic and striking harmonies, the Sugababes bring an irresistible nostalgic touch to "Nice to Know You." It's the kind of remix that feels like it came straight from a 2000s CD.
